For my fellow Americans, Pink Shirt Day, or Anti-Bullying Day is an annual campaign that takes place on the last Wednesday of February to raise awareness and funds for anti-bullying programs by encouraging people to wear pink shirts. The initiative began in Canada in 2007 after two students bought pink shirts for a classmate who was being bullied for wearing one. The campaign has since grown into a global movement to promote kindness, inclusivity, and respect and to stand against all forms of bullying.
